Thank you for joining module 2 of this course on climate change and the ecological crisis.

In this module, you will learn more about the politics behind the climate crisis.

First, we will present a few examples of how climate change is making existing social injustices worse. Did you know that indigenous peoples and women are going to be particularly affected by climate change?
Then, we will look into the public policies governing climate change today. You will learn about the Paris Agreement and why it is such an important tool.
Thirdly, we will focus on fossil fuel dominance. You will understand the immense power and influence that the fossil fuel industry holds over our socio-economic and education systems.

This will help you build your knowledge around climate change as more than just an environmental phenomenon. It is changing our world in many different ways. Let’s get started!
